1a – Static Vertical(Commonly known as a Static Scissor lift)
This type of machine is normally pushed or driven into position. Once in position the stabilisers are platform must be lowed and stabilisers retracted.
3A – Mobile vertical (Commonly known as a Scissor Lift)
This platform raises and lowers over the chassis area and does not move out of its area of support.
It can be driven from the elevated position using the platform controls
It can also be driven from the ground position
1B – Static Boom (commonly known as a Static Cherry Picker)
Typically mounted on a trailer and needs to be pushed or driven into position.
Once in position the stabiliser legs are deployed. The platform can be raised or lowered, and work on a boom, or telescopic arm.
3B – Mobile Boom (commonly known as a cherry picker)
This platform raises and lowers on an articulated arm or telescopic arm. It can be driven by the operator from the platform while at working at height.
